Book Progress Report 2
The picture shows the creation of a patch. I always sketch larger patches on paper first.
The Book has got 35 pages by now, 23 videos as made, 23 patches are finished, and 39 pictures, graphics and illustration are made.
The first main chapter (the first out of probably 5) is all about technical aspects and about fulfilling rather special tasks and about solving problems.
One topic – one of the 10 sub-chapters of main chapter 1 – may be described by the question “what must/can I do to keep the attention of the listeners when the sonic situation stays more or less unchanged for a longer time?”
The meaning of “more or less” is as important as the question “what to do” itself. How small can sonic changes get (and which ones, and what do they depend on ….) before our listeners turn around and leave the performance?
What is the importance of the properties (and which ones) of the frequency spectrum (partials) of the sonic situation in question …
Well, the first 35 pages together with the patches(presets and the videos answer these and a couple of other questions.
Cheers and peace!
